“UTI treatment?”
I am an otherwise healthy 54 year old male that has a UTI. I have been prescribed Uvamin 100mg once a day for 10 days but upon completing the prescription two days ago I continue to have very cloudy urine. I have a history of UTIs because of hypospadias affecting my urine flow. I had a laboratory examine my urine and the culture came back as e.coli. Could you please suggest a course of antibiotics, I am in Nicaragua at the moment and a prescription is not needed to purchase medicines here.

Best to do a urine culture to know what kind of bacteria you have in the urine, and based on such result, you may choose the appropriate antibiotic to which the bacteria would be sensitive. Also, you need to see a urologist because of hypospadias. The structural problem is directly linked to recurrent UTIs, and you probably know that, but urologist best to give you guidance.
