If the head of your penis has become bright red overnight and you are circumcised, I would suspect that you’ve got some sort of a topical rash and should see your local urologist. If the head of your penis has become bright red overnight and you are uncircumcised, then I would say that you have balanitis and that is a superficial skin infection and should see your local urologist.
