Uvula discomfort?

My daughter's uvula is skinny and long. She feels it touches the back of her throat. she has had a weird feeling for a really long time and she nows thinks that it is her uvula, the weird feeling intensifies when she bends down or leans back. She took pictures and it shows that the uvula is the things that moves and intensifies the feeling. At the beginning she described it as being a lump that needed to be swallowed.

Does your daughter also have posterior nasal drainage? The drainage and associated inflammation could be causing her uvula to be elongated. Did she have any G.I. symptoms such as reflux or any irritable bowel symptoms? Testing for environmental allergies or IgG food allergies would be helpful to understand what's causing the postnasal drip. I recommend only getting the IgG food testing through LabCorp or Quest diagnostic. The other secondary labs are not as sophisticated or helpful in making these diagnoses.
Some people do have a long/large uvula. A small surgery to shorten it may be the solution

If her uvula is elongated, she can have it surgically shortened in a brief office visit. Shortened not total excised. See ENT.
