Gastroenterologist (Pediatric) Questions

Vomiting during bowel movements

When having bowel movements, my stomach (or something) causes me to vomit. This happens during regular bowel movements, if I have diarrhea, or constipation. This has been happening for many months. I have been working with my GI doctor and have found no reason for this to happen. I have had a colonoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, abdominal CT Scan, all with no results for this happening. I am taking Venlafaxine for fibromyalgia, reuvistatin for cholesterol, Trazadone for sleep, omeprazole for acid reflex , woman’s
daily vitamin, zinc, lysine. daily allergy pill.
Can you offer any reason that I have this problem

It's certainly possible that you may have some constipation or a lot of straining with bowel movements that is causing an increase in pressure in your abdomen and causing the vomiting. Try drinking lots of water, eating more fiber and considering a laxative to make it easier to pass stool.
