Vp shunt/mental issues

My child had a vp shunt placed at birth he is 21 now and has started having alot of uncontrolled manic anger issues and his thinking is not normal he has also been having more headaches he has had 5 previous revisions and never has acted this way when his shunt has malfunctioned in te past I didn't know it could've caused from his shunt

Possibly due to shunt malfunction. He will need to have some tests to be sure the shunt is functioning properly.
In general this is not expected from a shunt. Even on patients that have had multiple revisions there is no evidence of lingering psychiatric disease. My suggestion would be to consult a psychiatrist for additional help. Even if the shunt fails those are not typical symptoms.
