You will receive a local anesthetic at the biopsy site. Sometimes, general anesthesia depending on the type of lesion. Liver biopsies results usually takes from 12 to 24 hours even a week, depending on the findings an any additional tests that might be needed to be performed for the final diagnosis. Thank you.
Could be done with local anesthesia. But a better question for the physician to has to obtain informed consent before such a biopsy is done.
General or local with conscious sedation. It depends on the approach, such as interventional radiology. Or has to go into the abdomen directly.
