Typically therapy and/or medication but I would also suggest looking into diet and increasing food that are nutritious and that contain sertonin and getting sun light. Find her a good therapist and child adolescent psychiatrist that can monitor her depression. Personally I look at other factors such as social, peer pressures, social media and sleep schedule and emotional and spirituality as well. Best of luck, keep me posted.

Antidepressant medication is the best way. However, a careful clinical history is indicated to assess the best type. Or rule out a bipolar disorder, family history, etc.

Please have her evaluated by a psychiatrist.
