Eyelid plastic surgery or blepharoplasty, is a procedure that is performed to rejuvenate the areas around the eyes. It is generally very safe. There are some risks associated with this but these can be mitigated with proper surgical technique and proper pre-surgical and post-surgical care. some risks included bleeding, infection, scarring, and risks of dry eyes. Usually, prior to surgery, an evaluation needs to take place by your eye doctor to see how your vision is and if you need any treatments for dry eyes.
Without knowing the specific eyelids surgery. It is hard to say. I assume you are talking about blepharoplasty. The risks can be prolonged bruising and swelling. Sometimes you may get ectropion or the lower eyelid got pull down slightly. You might get asymmetry (uneven) or visible scar. Uncommonly, one may get excessive tearing or dry eyes.
The most common is asymmetry between the eyelids, and others that are less common include inability to fully close the eye, corneal abrasion, hematoma, or even bleeding behind the eye causing blindness. While complications are uncommon, an experienced surgeon should discuss these with you before your procedure
