I am a 26 year old female. I want to know what are the side effects of having an abortion?

I would not call it side effects, I would rather call them surgical complications of surgical abortion. They include infection, bleeding, possible risk of uterine perforation during the procedure, and anesthetic complications. The risk of uterine perforation increases after 14-16 weeks of pregnancy.
