Hi,
Initially, there should be pain associated with the tooth, as the nerve dies. The pain is described as a throb or heartbeat, and can keep you up at night. If left, the pain will subside and the infection then brews in the bone, getting larger and eventually, you may see a bubble in the gums associated with the tooth and infection. This is due to the infection destroying sufficient bone due to its spread and eventually pus will be seen.
Hope this answers your question.

It depends on the location of the infection. Sometimes tender lymph nodes, sinusitis, swollen cheek/face/neck/gums, in severe cases, infected heart valves. Sometimes no symptoms at all. If you think you might have a tooth infection, please have it checked out before it becomes a major issue!
Fever and swelling are the first symptoms and from there it goes into flulike symptoms that lend into blood infection which called sepsis which if not treated quickly and aggressively with IV antibiotic can lead to death.
Hi,
Some signs are redness, swelling, pain to touch, a fever, tooth hurts upon chewing, a loose tooth, etc. Please go see a dentist and get an X-ray ASAP.

Symptoms of a tooth infection that is spreading would include: chills, fever, increase size of swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling nearing the eyes, and difficulty opening your mouth. If anything like this occurs it is imperative to seek help immediately as it can be life threatening.
