You can eat anything you want, but if it is hard, chew on the other side. The tooth is weak and can fracture and then you lose the tooth. No nuts, icecubes, unpopped popcorn kernels, hard pizza crusts, stale bagels, rock candy etc. Good Luck
You should avoid chewing anything hard for at least 4-5 days after the root canal. You can eat softer foods such as soup, yogurt, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, tofu and sushi.
There are not many limitations after just a root canal procedure. I would stick to liquid if youre still numb, you do not want to bite your cheek or lip accidentally. Once you have full feeling back, your gum tissues, jaw or tooth may feel sore. I would stick with softer foods and chewing on the opposite side until your root canaled tooth starts to feel comfortable enough to eat more solid foods. It can take several weeks to months for a root canal to feel comfortable.
Anything as long as you dont chew on the root canal tooth until after it is restored properly.
