Has there been any history of injury to the toe? Therefore, without more inflammation I unable to provide you with an answer to your question at this time. If possible a picture posted will help me too.
Well there are multiple possibilities. Injury - ligament sprain or fracture; early onset of arthritis of some type; or abnormal pressure from a frequently worn shoe. It depends on which toe and for how long ? Your medical history would be important information to know.
There are multiple reasons a toe can be swollen and we wouldn't know the cause without examining you.
Hi! There could be many reasons like circulation, most people do swell at the end of the day, shoe gear etc I would recommend to see a podiatrist for further evaluation.
Circulation issues, or even an infection if the patient has numbness/neuropathy. You should visit a physician to evaluate the issue ASAP.
