“What can mimic heart palpitations?”
My 16 year old daughter has heart pain. I want to know what can mimic heart palpitations?

At that age it's common to experience panic induced experiences such as heart palpitations. It's completley normal and can be managed with breathing techniques

Anxiety, panic attacks, hyperventilation, caffeine, cold medicines, hyperthyroidism, and various cardiac conditions(like mitral valve prolapse, valvular dysfunction, cardiomyopathy, and coronary or ischemic heart disease can all "mimic" or cause palpitations
Palpitations are the sensation of the heart beating funny. If your question is what causes this, the list is very long and is usually not heart related. Lightheadedness, stress, anxiety, anemia, etc.
