My 15 year old daughter is suffering from a lung infection. What causes a lung infection in teenagers?

Usually starts as viral infection, which becomes superinfected with bacteria. Can be "walking pneumonia" caused by Mycoplasma. If aspiration has occurred, it can be chemical and superimposed bacterial. If immune compromised, can be much more severe. See a pediatrician. Usually treatable with Zithromax or Augmentin.
