There could be many causes, but most likely is periodontal problems.
There are many causes in different situations why there is bone loss and implant failure. No simple answer.
Unfotunately, the placement of implants does not end all problems. It is very important to get your teeth and implants cleaned regularly. In fact, after implants are placed, most doctors recommend you come in for a cleaning every 3 to 4 months. Smoking and heavy drinking also degrade the mouth and supporting structures
