An abnormal sound in your ear, such as buzzing, is called tinnitus. It is a sign of hearing loss or may be related to a medication side effect or other issue.
This is called tinnitus. Usually subjective, meaning only you hear it. Most commonly associated with hair cell damage in the cochlea from noise exposure.
