Using an antidepressant with a depressing substance is not a good idea.
There are some interactions that may occur between both of them, making the person's symptoms of depression worse. Anyone with mental health problems, particularly depression, should not use alcohol as it is a known depresogenic substance regardless of what medication they are taking.
It depends on the amount. One drink should not be a problem. More can be risky.
