“What helps with pain after rhinoplasty?”
I had a rhinoplasty 3 days ago. It hurts bad. What helps with pain after rhinoplasty?

typically, after a rhinoplasty procedure, patients may require a few days of strong prescription pain medication. Usually after the first 3-5 days, the pain can then be controlled with over-the-counter pain medications.
Analgesics are usually prescribed by the operating surgeon to manage pain that is expected after any surgical procedure. Inform your doctor that your pain is poorly controlled, and he/she/they will likely assist you.
Each individual is unique, but I used long-acting local anesthesia on the nose followed by Celebrex postoperatively with no narcotics. None of my patients complained of pain. Hopefully, this is helpful.
