There are 700+ brands of implants.

More than brand of the implant , type of implant is important. And there are various other factors. I would avoid going to a dentist who uses just one type of implant. Every situation is unique and demands different type if implant.
Nobel Biocare, Strauman, Zimmer, Etc are few more popular implant brands.
any major manufacturer is fine.
There are many brands, none is particularly best
That is a difficult question to answer. I work with many Oral surgeons, periodontist and general dentists and they all place different implants. Its really a personal preference on which implant the doctor likes to place. The most common ones for posteriors are Nobel, Straumann, Astra and Zimmer in my area.
The question you should be asking is what type of implant would be the best one to use for your specific situation. Many factors determine this and your dentist would be the best person to determine this. Do not be caught up with the brand but with what the specific implant can do to serve the purpose.
