Ankle replacement timeline, 2 weeks with no weight, 2-4 weeks walking in a boot, and a gradual progression from the boot o normal shoes at the 6 weeks after surgery. Everyone is different, but I tell patients to expect a 6-8 week recovery period.
Generally recovery time can be 3 - 6 months. It is a complicated surgery with appropriate rehabilitative therapy for several months.
