What is the best treatment for child who has runny nose?

My son has a runny nose. I want to help him. What is the best treatment for a child who has a runny nose?

It depends on the age of the child, any comorbid illnesses, and/or medications he or she is taking. My suggestion would be to try Zyrtec at night 10 mg once a day, some nasal saline will help with the symptoms and relief and you can use Afrin nasal spray for up to 3 to 5 days once again for symptomatic relief. Check for fever, swollen glands, latitude, things that would describe to you that it’s more than what it is. And that’s where a quick influenza swab test will come in and save a lot of time before you get a coronavirus test.
Be well, thank you for asking me the question. I wish you and your child well.
