I have periodontitis. What is the best treatment for periodontitis?

That depends on the severity, but in a generalized manner the following are usually applied: 1) Home care including electric toothbrush, flossing, water pick, mouth rinse 2) Prophy or debridement 3)Deep cleaning or root planing 4) Pocket depth reevaluation 5) Antibiotics systemic or local 6) Laser or surgical pocket elimination or grafting for bony defects. 7) Orthodontic or occlusal therapy and/or prosthetic reconstruction of missing teeth or damaged occlusion 8) Night guard.
