What is the contrast used in a CT scan?

I am a 41 year old male. I want to know what is the contrast used in a CT scan?

The main component of contrast used in a CT scan is iodine. Iodine is dense so this allows the scan to see the blood vessel when the contrast is in the blood vessel.
