“What is the next step after a dental implant?”
I got my dental implant 2 days ago. What is the next step after a dental implant?

The new implant will take some time to "osseointegrate" or to "stick to the bone" around it. After that period of time, the abutment and new crown can be place on top of the implant to finish the restoration process. Good luck! Dr. Gibson

Hi
First you must let the implant heal and osseointegate for the next 3-4 months… then your dentist specialist will re-evaluate and make sure it is stable …. Then your general dentist will take an impression after removing the healing collar and placing an impression coping into the implant ….then your crown will be fabricated and inserted either with cement or screw-retained
Good Luck!
