My dog has a lice. What kills lice on dogs?

Any flea/tick preventative recommended by your vet. I like bravecto and nexgard but those require a prescription.

You can try canine advantix 2 OTC, but I cannot guarantee that it’ll be as effective as a veterinarian prescribed product.
Ridding lice on your dog and in your household is quite the process, so I apologize in advance. You can treat lice with medication; however, you would have to go to your primary care doctor for a prescription. There are also some shampoos available online formulated to kill lice, and I would recommend bathing your dog according to the instructions. After bathing, use a fine-toothed comb (you can purchase them online that are specific for ridding lice) to remove the lice as well. You will also have to frequently (every day/every other day) clean your dog's bedding and anything else they come in contact with for at least 2-3 weeks.
