“What kind of doctors diagnoses psychogenic cough?”
What kind of doctor do I have to see to get officially diagnosed with psychogenic cough? I have had a small persistent cough for a few years which occurred every minute or so. Now it has gotten louder and rougher and happens very often unless I'm asleep or am super busy/focused with something. I have been to doctors, all my blood work was taken and nothing. It's been 4 years now, and I am sure of what I have I just want to know what kind of doctor can accurately test me without wasting another general doctor's time. I am a nonsmoker, no drugs or alcohol.

Good evening I hope you are well, It sounds like you have chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is classified as a persistent cough that lasts continuously for more than three months. The cough has to ne persistent for at least three years. You can see a Pulmonologist. I would also ask for a allergy test as well as a chest x-ray.
