It depends on the type of hip pain and the issue behind the hip pain.
There are several treatments for hip pain depending on the cause.
1. Typically a shot of steroids in the muscle is a temporary solution and
sometimes will fix the issue.
2. An intra-articular joint injection will also be an option but is also a
temporary solution but if this is a one time acute issue may fix the
problem.
3. If this is a back issue radiating into the hip that requires other types
of treatment.
4. Physical therapy is typically another option and always recommended.
