What medication kills lice in dogs?

My dog has lice. What medication kills lice in dogs?

There are multiple types of medications to kill lice on dogs. Any oral medications would have to be prescribed by your primary care doctor; however, I would highly recommended ordering those. In addition, there are shampoos you can buy online (follow the instructions according to the bottle) as well as collars to help control lice infestations (and also kill and repel fleas and ticks) and other topical medications placed in between the shoulder blades (i.e. imidacloprid, fipronil or selamectin) that can kill lice. After bathing, I would also recommend using a fine-toothed comb to manually rid the lice (this can be bought online). Lastly, frequently washing their bedding and anything else they come in contact with (washing once a day or every other day) for at least the next 2-3 weeks is also recommended.
