Talking with a therapist can help. Medication may be a secondary treatment.
There is no single right answer to this question as different medications have different effects on people. Would recommend making an appointment with a psychiatrist if you are having feelings of anxiety and depression for proper evaluation and medical management.
I am so sorry to hear about this painful experience. Would emphasize getting an excellent talking therapist to help you survive this trauma and to focus upon your resilience. Would additionally emphasize exercise, socialization, and any social emotional and spiritual support. From a medication point of view, there are many, and it truly depends upon your current medical and emotional state. Would definitely consult a psychiatrist to tailor make a personalized intervention.

In my experience there is no best medication - every person is unique in their response to medication. Also, in my experience, anxiety and depression are responses to life challenges. Finding ways to clarify those challenges, with a therapist or friend, can lead a person to have more agency and meaning in their life.
