Hi, This is something that a medical doctor can begin to do a work up for thyroid disorders, irregular hormone balance, and other body stressors that could be a factor. I would recommend you make an appointment with a doctor who can begin to assess and treat
There are a number of concerns, most of which have easy solutions. You could have a simple hormone imbalance, easily corrected. You may be producing too much estrogen, or too little of the other ovarian hormone, progesterone. You could have the polycystic syndrome, a condition in which you would have numerous small ovarian cysts that not only can throw your hormones out of balance, but also could have significant long term concerns such as an increase in the risk of heart disease, irregular and heavy bleeding, uterine cancer, breast cancer, unwanted weight gain, or other serious conditions. The good news is that these concerns can be addressed and well managed. For appointment call 719 633-8733. Dr. Stringfellow at Advanced Gynecology.
