What sedation is done for a root canal?

I will have a root canal. What sedation is done for a root canal?

If I understand the question correctly, sedation procedures are done to simply alleviate anxiety and have the procedure go smoothly. Sedation can be either in the form of Oral conscious or IV conscious sedation (twilight sleep). Best wishes,
If you need sedation for a root canal, your doctor may offer you nitrous oxide (laughing gas), a tranquilizing pill, or in extreme cases, general anesthesia.
