I am a 59 year old male. I want to know what should I avoid after cataract surgery?

Avoid any strenuous activity. Avoid flying on an airplane. Avoid heavy lifting. Just take it easy. You do not have to limit the use of your eyes, however. Use your postoperative drops as prescribed
Most common things to avoid immediately after cataract surgery include: heavy lifting or strenuous activities, swimming pools/hot tubs, rubbing eyes, and wearing lotions or make up. The surgeon performing the procedure will give you proper instructions on the appropriate protocol after surgery.
