Hello, Thank you for reaching out. With a bulging disc it's best to avoid any strenuous activity, including lifting heavy weights. We recommend adjustments and decompression therapy to alleviate the pressure on the disc and reverse the compression so the disc can heal. We offer both adjustments and decompression therapy in our office. Feel free to give our office a call if you'd like more information. I'm happy to chat! Bulging disc are typically caused by biomechanical stress, for lumbar McKenzie exercises help. Need to be evaluated for upper and lower cross syndrome and then start exercises to correct. Satigal balance of the spine is very important to keep from becoming a herniation and accelerated degeneration.
A bulging disc is not the end of the world. Can be as simple as a rotated vertebra; which then may need adjusting into place. It matters more as to where or what part of the spine this disc is located; and what size is the the bulge? But the structures above and below this area probably need to be stabilized in order for your disc to have a stable supporting structure./
You need to avoid anything that increases intra-abdominal pressure. Some things to avoid are: straining while going to the bathroom, lifting heavier objects, slouching postures, and heavy coughs/sneezes. Most types of bulges respond to stretches that open the disc spaces, like laying in fetal position or inversion tables.

If you are speaking of a low back bulging disc, generally prolonged sitting and forward bending will aggravate a disc. Standing, walking and lying are best. Avoid heavy lifting. <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free.www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2>
