“What should I eat after scaling and root planing?”
I had scaling and root planing this morning. I want to know what should I eat after scaling and root planing?

I would say wait about 24 hours before you eat anything acidic or spicy in case your gums could be sensitive. In the meantime, you can rinse with warm salt water (or chlorhexidine if it was prescribed by your dentist) to help the gums heal. However, make sure you floss daily to keep your gums clean and healthy.
Considering you are bleeding, things which are not producing very quickly a plaque. Avoid rice and other things which can very easily form a plaque, food which stick.
It is best to avoid acidic food with low pH. Such as wine, lime, lemon and tomatoes just to name a few.
Have a soft diet and stay away from that side for the amount of time recommended by your practitioner. This will allow time for the soft tissues to hopefully reattach to bone and gum and begin the healing process.

Anything you want, initially softer foods. Warm salt water rinses for 2 days after to help healing, 2-3x per day.
You shouldn’t have any limitations eating after a deep cleaning, just be careful if you are still numb not to bite/burn yourself.
After scaling and root planing, the gum might be sore, and the pocket between the teeth and gum is open, so it's best to stay on a soft diet and avoid anything that irritates the gums. So, avoid anything hot, hard, and spicy.

As long as you're not numb, you can eat anything you want. Your teeth might be sensitive, so nothing too cold or too hot.
Hope that helps.
