I was diagnosed with gastritis. What to avoid with gastritis?

Avoid spicy foods, greasy foods, caffeine, smoking and alcohol.
Gastritis is not often an explanation for symptoms. Just because you are told you have gastritis doesn't mean you have it or that it is causing a problem.
If gastritis is caused by H pylori infection, then it should be treated with antibiotics. Otherwise, look for another diagnosis.
