What to expect after having a lipoma removed?

I am a 19 year old female. I want to know what to expect after having a lipoma removed?

You will expect discomfort for few days after removal. When the surgeon or dermatologist take the lipoma out and uses stiches, wound care will take approximately 10-14 days. Follow your doctor recommendations. They will give you instructions on how to take care of the sutured area. Than you.
Depends on the size of the lipoma. The larger it is and the longer the surgery, the more your risks increase for complications from the surgery.
It depends on where the lipoma is located. You may have some local pain or swelling, but that should be minimum. You may have some bruising. If your doctor has to remove sutures, you may have to have them removed in 10-14 days or so. If the lipoma is large, you can collect fluid where the lipoma was; rarely, your doctor will insert a drain that has to be removed when the fluid collection is no longer an issue.
It depends on the size and location, but usually just a few days of discomfort. You will have a scar where the incision is made and maybe some swelling. Generally a very well tolerated procedure though.
Basically, diagnosis will be confirmed by pathology. You will have a scar after the surgical wound heals. Relapse is unlikely.
