Heel spurs are not the major issue. It can be tendon or fascia problem
Start wearing insoles super feet green or blue and eccentric foot and ankle exercises with resistant bands and icing with frozen water bottle by rolling on the area

There are many treatment options for heel spurs or heel pain. Conservative treatments can be stretching exercises, oral or topical anti inflammatory, physical therapy, steroid injections, and tapings. If conservative treatment doesnt work, then surgery may be needed. Only 10-15% ever need surgery.
There are 2 types of heel spurs, one being plantar and the second is posterior. It is present frequently in adults and not always painful. When painful I start my patients with stretching, insoles to support the arch as well as an anti inflammatory, topically or orally. I also recommend Laser Therapy or a steroid injection, and occasionally utilize Physical Therapy. I will also recommend Nutritional supplements to reduce inflammation and help the body's repair system. If these conservative methods do not alleviate the pain I utilize Stem Cell therapy.
There are many different treatments for heel spur. Stretching exercises, oral anti-inflammatory medication, topical pain gels, physical therapy, injections and arch supports can be very beneficial in alleviating pain. Sometimes surgery is needed. Good morning, Many patients have heel spurs. Most are found incidentally when taking X-rays for another complaint. You did not advise as to whether or not you have already had an X-ray or are simply assuming you have a spur since you have pain. The heel spurs do not cause the pain at the level of the heel. They are actually in response to stress and pull of the Achilles tendon and plantar ligament. It is the inflammation that is causing the pain if you are experiencing it. If you are having pain at the level of the heel, it is strongly advised to seek an opinion from a podiatrist so that a stress fracture or bone cyst can be ruled out. There are many treatments, short and long term conservative that can offer incredible relief without undergoing surgery. Treatment options include; ice, medications by mouth, topical agents, laser therapy, physical therapy with or without dry needling, injections (steroid, traumeel, PRP and growth factors) along with good supportive shoes, stretches and orthotics. To answer your question simply with regards to the heel spur, it cannot be removed without surgery. Majority of patients do NOT need surgery. I hope I have answered your question fully. The typical treatment for this case are injections in the heel pain area, but the case much be evaluated to see if any add on modality are needed such as X-rays therapy orthopedic appliance or others
