Good evening this is Dr. Palmer. Treatment for your ankle can be done by anyone who is trained in sports medicine that would include a podiatrist orthopedic foot surgeon or a family practitioner who is trained in sports medicine. The key thing is to make sure you use the Rice paradigm for treatment make sure you have a good range of motion anti-inflammatories or Analgesics for your pain. All the best to you

The care that you need is to have a visit/consultation with a orthopedic or podiatrist for your injury.
After a sprain, physical therapy is helpful to work on balance and strength. Ankle braces can also be helpful to limit the chance of a recurrent sprain.
Any injury can be helped with rest, ice and elevation. I recommend you schedule an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for appropriate diagnosis and treatment options
Rest, Ice, Elevation, Compression (RICE). That is the standard care for any acute injury. You can supplement this with an anti-inflammatory dose of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). If the pain persists for more than a week or 2, or if you have functional incapacity of any kind, you may want to get checked by a medical professional.
