If you are having pain in your wisdom teeth, we definitely recommend seeing your dentist. It may be a sign to have them removed!
Whenever you have discomfort and/or pain.

If you see your dentist regularly, you may have been told you will need to have your wisdom out. You may not have room for them. ONLY ONE PERSON IN 25 WILL HAVE ROOM FOR THEM. WISDOM TEETH CAN START OUT AS PRESSURE. THE W. TEETH CAN GET CAVITIES, PUT PRESSURE ON THE ROOTS OF THE NEXT TOOTH IN FRONT OF THE W. TOOTH AND THE CAVITY IN THE W. TOOTH GETS THE ROOTS OF THE TOOTH IN FRONT INFECTED -- YOU WILL LOSE THE W.TOOTH AND THE TOOTH IN FRONT OF THE W.TOOTH. IF YOU HAD ORTHODONTIC WORK, YOUR W.TEETTH CAN CAUSE YOUR TEETH TO CROWD ALL OVER AND YOU NEED TO HAVE ORTHO WORK. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MUCH PRESSURE AND PAIN WERE ON YOUR BACK TEETH TO RE-CROWD YOUR FRONT????
Immediately. Pain can start as inflammation only, but quickly become infected. As a temporary measure place a tsp of salt in an 8 oz glass of warm water and rinse for 30 seconds, spit and repeat.
If you have pain in your wisdom teeth, you should contact your dentist. If you have swelling, difficulty swallowing or breathing as a result of infection from your wisdom teeth, report to the nearest hospital.

If you are experiencing wisdom tooth pain you should visit your dentist as soon as you can. The dentist can take a x-ray’s to determine if there is crowding in the teeth next to wisdom tooth that is causing the pain, in which case the wisdom tooth may need to be extracted. Other reasons for tooth pain may include and are not limited to: tooth decay, fracture or abscess, a broken or damaged filling, nightly teeth grinding, and gum infection. No matter what the cause though, you should still see your dentist when you experience oral pain.
You should see a periodontist or an oral surgeon whenever you have time.
