“When should I see a surgeon for knee pain?”
I have excruciating knee pain after falling off my patio chair this morning. When should I see a surgeon for knee pain?

You probably need some X-rays and maybe an mri scan to further evaluate the injury. I would see someone as soon as you can. Hope this helps!
If you have excruciating knee pain, swelling or deformity then you may need to go to the emergency room, urgent care or an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation and treatment. If unable to bear weight, and elevation, ice, compression, and over-the-counter medications are not helping (tylenol or ibuprofen if not allergic), then you may need further evaluation and treatment.
