When should I worry about hand numbness?

I am a 29 year old female. I have had hand numbness for 2 days. When should I worry about hand numbness?

The numbness in the hand could be from number of conditions. But the most common at this age could be from carpal tunnel syndrome so you should consult your doctor
Now! I would see your doctor as soon as you can and have him/her evaluate you for issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cervical disc diease, peripheral neuropathy, or less likely in 29 yo female--brain ischemia and/ or carotid artery disease.
If you have only had numbness for 2 days, I would not be concerned. If it persists past 2 weeks or so or it worsens, then I would consult a physician. Also, if you note any weakness or numbness in any other area, then I would suggest you consult a physician.
You should not have numbness in your hand. I think it’s appropriate to go ahead and have it evaluated now.
