“When should you go to the emergency room for high blood pressure?”
I have had high blood pressure for 2 days. Should I go to the emergency room?

If you have signs of end organ damage. Headache, chest pain, shortness of breath are signs like that.
It’s not an emergency room thing unless you have numbness or weakness suggesting a stroke, or chest pain or trouble breathing to suggest heart problems. Write down your blood pressure readings for a couple of weeks and take them to a patient primary care doctor (internal medicine or family practice) who can prescribe medicine as needed and see you every few weeks to be sure they are keeping it under control. The doctor will probably suggest labs or other tests, but the first priority is getting the pressure down. Be honest if you have limited finances.
