Have to be assessed by bariatric surgery center team.
The sooner the better! Surgery has been shown to be superior to medical weight loss in almost every aspect. Studies have shown that results are better when surgery is performed sooner and at a lower rate. I have never had a patient tell me they wish they had waited longer. I usually hear that patients wish they had proceeded with surgery after their first evaluation, rather than waiting.
When considering any surgery, you should consider when you feel that you have done all that you can to lose. I recommend seeing a non-surgical bariatric physician first to see if you can lose the weight without surgery. You can find one near you by visiting: https://obesitymedicine.org/find-obesity-treatment/

That would be what I consider the first step.
As soon as you are cleared by the Bariatric Surgeon. Congratulations for taking this great step forward for better health.
