“When would hospice care be used for my grandma?”
My grandma is living with lung cancer (stage 3) and unfortunately is continuing to smoke cigarettes. Her doctors are giving her another 2 years at most to live. When will hospice care begin and how does it work? I am trying to prep the best I can.

if the goals is for her to be comfortable and no plan for further anticancer treatments. That would be right time to request for hospice referral.
if she is still receiving anticancer treatment then consider referral for Palliative care.
if she is still receiving anticancer treatment then consider referral for Palliative care.
