White hair?

Hello! A couple days ago my sister noticed a small chunk of hair at like, above my nape (like where the hair starts above the nape) The hair is completely white, the whole strand! And I have red hair so it sticks out. Im so confused about it because I'm only 14 so it cant be gray hairs . It kinda reminds me of albinism? or loss of pigmentation? I don't know when it started( or started growing?)but I'm either guessing that it grew out white one day or maybe it just lost its color? Also I've never dyed my hair and whenever I feel the white hair it feel normal. it doesn't feel rough or dry, it feel nice and smooth. Any ideas?

It’s okay to be confused, especially at your age! Here’s what might be happening:

Temporary Color Loss: Sometimes, one hair can lose its color for a while, which makes it turn white.

Vitiligo: This is a condition where the skin (and hair) lose color in some spots. It’s rare, but it can happen.

Genetics: Some people can get white or gray hairs early, though it’s not common at 14.

Since the hair feels normal and smooth, it’s probably nothing serious. But if you notice more white hairs or other changes, it might be good to see a dermatologist for advice.
