“Why do I have mucus discharge from my anus?”
I have a strange discharge from my anus that is happening on and off. What could this be? It almost feels like mucus. I find it too embarrassing to go and speak to a doctor about it, so kindly advice.

Could be a tumor or infection or inflammation - see a physician!
The only way to adequately evaluate if it is mucous and discuss the possible causes of your embarrassing discharge is unfortunately a visit to a colon and rectal surgeon. There is no need to be embarrassed as this is the work that we do and I am sure the doctor you choose will do their best to make you comfortable.
