Rheumatologist Questions Arm Pain

Why do the joints of one arm ache while waking up?

Whenever I get up, I have an aching pain in my right arm. Sometimes it slows me down completely in the morning. What could be the reason for this pain?

Shoulder and neck are the first musculoskeletal to work up.
Your pain may be coming from your neck and the position you are in during sleep. You should consult a rheumatologist who can probably determine the source of your pain, through a combination of physical exam, X-rays and blood tests. You may benefit from exercises and a cervical pillow.
Could be bursitis or tendonitis, or you're sleeping on it
