My 14 year old child was diagnosed with Behcet's disease. Why does a child develop Behcet's disease?

The cause is unknown. Often in this situation, that represents a genetic cause.

Unfortunately, the cause is unknown. Basically, the child's own immune system attacks itself. If autoimmune disease runs in the family, there can be a genetic predisposition to this disease.
