“Why is my dental bridge hurting?”
I got a dental bridge 5 days ago. It still hurts. Is it normal? What should I do?

If the bridge just started hurting, there may be some decay or tooth brush abrasion occurring. Hopefully you have been seeing your dentists regularly for cleanings and checkups which would have caught these problems sooner. If there was a large cavity on one of the abutment teeth, which was removed prior to the bridge installation, this tooth may now need a root canal. See your dentist as soon as possible to for a thorough exam and X-rays to help determine the cause.
