Podiatrist (Foot and Ankle Specialist) Questions

Would it be best to go through the laser therapy sessions or find a different doctor

I've been doing a few weeks of physical therapy for my foot and it has helped a little. I tried the MS Laser therapy for my foot. It didn't remove the pain the first session. The podiatrist wants me to go five more times. I'm not sure it would be worth paying if the pain doesn't go away. I have Medicare and medicaid but want to avoid major surgery. I was told surgery might be last best result yet being diabetic I might lose my foot. If non invasive laser surgery is covered under Medicare/ medicaid I might be interested if the results are good.

Achilles tendonitits is a very stuborn problem. Best recommendation is CAM boot, Stretching, Physical therapy, MLS laser therapy, and finally surgery. If you have any further questions watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lm_nzsRUgI&t=187s
I would ask for my money back if you take more treatments that fail to reduce your pain.
Every patient / pathology is slightly different. If not seeing the improvement you want I would always get a second opinion before jumping into a surgery. There are multiple different conservative / non-surgical options that can be tried before surgery and every doctor has a slightly different approach to the art of medicine and healing. In my opinion, Celebrex is not the best non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. I suggest Aleve. If the cause of your Achilles tendon pain is due to ankle equinus, then a simple heel lift should give some relief. I assume your doctor has ruled out any rupture or stenosis. I think you need to have further discussion with treating practitioner. If unsure, you may consider getting a 2nd opinion
It is unclear what your condition is that is causing you the pain, so I can not answer this question for you.
